Vice President of Leasing (L-6958)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for marketing, leasing and renewing of assigned properties.
• Ensure marketing and advertising materials are current and accurate.
• Schedule and conduct on site property/suite tours with tenant prospects and brokers.
• Negotiate letter of intent lease terms including credit approvals and business plans; prepare and execute agreements ensuring all terms and conditions of lease agreements are met through rent commencement date.
• Handle existing portfolio lease renewals.
• Work closely with construction and property management to understand what the prospect’s needs and costs are to lease or renew.  Ensure that budgets are established and followed, and the correct lease language is included in all leasing documents.
• Stay informed by conducting market studies and be current on which tenants are in the market, which tenants are coming to the market, which ones are leaving, and which are missing.
• Build and maintain relationships with current portfolio tenants to encourage and execute lease renewals.
• Help resolve any tenant issues or concerns as appropriate.
• Coordinate with property management to ensure vacancies are show-ready and properties are well-maintained.
• Effectively communicate with ownership and senior management regarding all phases of the transaction.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 7 - 10+ years of retail, office or industrial leasing experience.
• Ability to canvas for tenants, negotiate letters of intent and leases to executed leases.
• Real estate trade involvement through area networking organizations.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work closely with other departments (team player).
• Excellent communication skills and strong comfort adapting to various audiences.
• Self-starter with solid organizational skills.
• Proficient in Excel and Word. Ability to redline documents.
