How to Win the Interview

How to Win the Interview and Get the Job You Want
Here’s a sneak peek into my “How to Win the Interview” presentation scheduled for 10:00 AM PT next Monday, May 21st at ICSC RECon in Las Vegas at the Talent Development Pavilion. Hope to see you there!
Most people are nervous going into an interview, especially if the job is one they really want. Luckily, there are some steps you can take before, during and after the interview to help ease your nerves so that you ace the interview. Here’s a preview of our three-step process to help build your confidence and increase your chances of landing that dream job.
Three Simple Steps to Win the Interview
Step #1: Prepare for the Interview
“By Failing to Prepare, You are Preparing to Fail” ~ Benjamin Franklin
Taking the time to prepare before you even step foot in the door is the number one factor towards landing that dream job. If you can develop an understanding of the company, its people and its mission as well as anticipate questions that may be asked, you will be well on your way to a successful interview.
Step #2: Perform Your Best During the Interview
“Be So Good They Can’t Ignore You” ~ Steve Martin
Now that you are in the room face-to-face with the interviewer, how do you make an unforgettable impression? I will go step-by-step to show you how you can leave your interviewers with the impression that you are “the one”.
Step #3: Follow-up After the Interview
“In Golf as in Life, it is the Follow Through that Makes the Difference” ~ Anonymous
The minute you walk out of the door after the interview is the time to start following up. This is probably the easiest part of the interviewing process but the one that can be most often forgotten.
If you are interested in learning more about these three steps and how to prime yourself for success during your next interview, come hear my presentation at the Talent Development Pavilion on Monday, May 21st at 10:00 AM PT at ICSC RECon in Las Vegas, Nevada. See you there!
